A Little Help From Our Friends...

Thank you!!! I hope that these two simple words will convey the gratitude felt by 92.7 FM KLGA radio in Algona, www.DirtTrackRadio.com and myself to our programming and web sponsors for a great 2007 racing season.

This season was special. Perhaps the best one in our extensive history of exciting race coverage. I would also like to express thanks to our great fans that tune in or log on every week. Your comments, input and passion help make this worthwhile and keeps us going during the grind of a long racing season.

I hope that you thank and appreciate our race programming sponsors…It takes commitment from great people and great companies to broadcast FOUR live racing shows each week, plus bonus race coverage on www.DirtTrackRadio.com.

Our thank you list includes;

Schfrmfgco_6 Schaeffer Oil (Mark Olson, Fenton, IA) - presenting sponsor of the Thursday Hour of Horsepower.
Emarklogo1 Fertilizer Equipment Specialists, Garner, IA – presenting sponsor of the Friday Trackside Live from Britt.

Monson Salvage, rural Lone Rock, IA – presenting sponsor of Saturday’s Trackside Live from Algona.

Special mention should be made for Amberwave Communications in Algona and their one-stop area information web portal www.MyInfoCentral.com. They really delivered the communication goods at mid-season by providing the opportunity for us to broadcast all of our racing shows live on MyInfoCentral.com and archived on DirtTrackRadio.com.

The support of each race program sponsor is greatly appreciated. KLGA Motorsports is made possible by:

Schaeffer Oil (Mark Olson – Fenton, IA); Monson Salvage, Lone Rock; Fertilizer Equipment Specialists, Garner; Kemco Tires, Algona; Primetime Restaurant, Algona; Arnold Motor Supply, STAATS Awards, Mt. Pleasant; Algona Floor Design, Jim’s Custom Exhaust, Hobarton; JBS Auto Parts, Britt; McNeese Tire, Britt; Fast Oil, Algona; Napa, Algona; Classic Stop, Algona; Algona Frame & Auto Body; Subway, Algona.

Thank you to each of you!!

Why was 2007 so special? Here’s why…

Harris20clashff2006 • Broadcasting live from the pits at Knoxville Raceway was a rush and was our most listened to show all year. How cool was it to hear Clayton Christensen tell about why he dreamed of winning the Harris Clash more than any other event…and then wins the 2007 edition in a thrilling A-main event!! And Algona’s KLGA was there…with the LIVE pre-race coverage.

Untitled1 • Every aspect of being a part of the inaugural Kossuth County Fair Racing Hall of Fame was so special. Judging by the response of our inductees, their families, and the fans…it was special for you to. For me, having the greats like Les Wilden, Jim Edgington and the Leo Christensen family on Trackside Live was a thrill!

Keith_schmitz • Broadcasting from Hancock County Speedway’s special events is always awesome. The Memorial Day Stock Car Special was fun, the IRA sprint show was stellar, the B-Mod special will be an event to keep your eye on and the magic is back for the Night of 1000 Stars!

• Hawkeye Racing News columnist Karl Haglund shared his great stories on local racing heroes on DirtTrackRadio.com. Karl captures the essence of what makes being a racer and a racer at heart so unique. Keep up the good work Karl!

Once again…thank you sponsors and fans for a great 2007 racing season!! We’ll be back next year.
